Connec Limited Off Market investment via a Trust
*Wholesale Only
Connec is an Australian company that developed the world’s first non-metallic, polymer-constructed high-voltage coupler system (HVCS). Coupler systems are needed to connect and terminate the industrial grade cables that transmit the power required to operate heavy machinery in industries such as underground and surface mining.

Innovation in a stagnant industry
The global coupler, or connector, industry is currently worth an estimated $4.4 billion but has been starved of innovation for ~50 years. Conventional connectors are bulky, heavy and made using highly conductive metals. They require extensive manpower, are expensive to maintain and dangerous to handle – especially in explosive atmospheres with high cable failure rates potentially leading to significant mine downtime.
Connec’s HVCS is up to 50% lighter, safer (double insulated) and 40% more efficient than competing systems, and the only one that offers data transfer capabilities within the same cable system as electricity. Connec’s systems can reduce the risk of cable faults by more than 26% and the likelihood of joint failures, termination failures and installation defects by 67%. New cables can be connected in ~90 minutes instead of up to 24 hours as with conventional connectors.
Connec, who has developed and commercialised the most economical and safest high voltage connector systems (HVCS) in the world that also incorporates fibre optic data transmission, has bolstered their North American consortium, and secured a significant $6 million letter of intent in Australia.
