A rare large-scale greenfield opportunity with the potential to create a new mining district
Plutonic owns Champion, a large-scale (6,500sqm) project in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Founder Kris Butera’s thesis is that this previously overlooked area represents a new mining district by virtue of having experienced the same geological architecture as some of Eastern Australia’s tier-1 copper gold projects (e.g Cadia, Cowal, Northparkes).
A key element is the scale of the project. Champion has the potential to host several large mines, providing multiple shots on goal, which could lead to multiple IPOs of individual targets.
Over the past 5+ years, the Plutonic team have used progressive exploration work (structural mapping, rockchip sampling, geochemical analysis, hyperspectral analysis, age dating, induced polarisation survey) to create overlaying evidence for their thesis.
The 2024 IP survey gave them three large anomalies which will be drilled in coming months, with all permits in place.
The mere confirmation of the existence of a mineral system would be significant news by validating Plutonic’s thesis, while a discovery could be a globally significant event.
