This week Reach Markets Managing Director Patrick Nelson presented an investor briefing about an exciting investment opportunity giving exposure to Warren Buffett’s successful company Berkshire Hathaway

During the interesting 40 minute session, Patrick discussed the investment structure, Warren Buffett’s history of navigating difficult market conditions, and what approach Berkshire will use to position themselves.

Patrick also reflected on Berkshire Hathaway’s strong performance after previous market crashes, such as the Global Financial Crisis, the Dot-Com Bubble and Black Monday 1987, giving his thoughts on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the market and the future of certain industries, both domestic and abroad.

Quoting Buffett, “Every decade or so, dark clouds will fill the economic skies and briefly rain gold”, Patrick explains how Buffett historically has put out the metaphorical bucket in market conditions like these and why now might be the time to consider opportunities with international exposure into a range of company sectors*.

Watch the full investor briefing below, including the Q&A session where Patrick responds to questions such as the company’s previous returns, the potential risks and how Berkshire is protected in a post-Buffett era.
