Last Wednesday at our weekly ‘Meet The CEOs’ briefing we were joined by Dr Chris Burns from Novonix Limited (ASX: NVX). Novonix is an integrated developer and supplier of high-performance materials, equipment and services for the global lithium-ion battery industry. They have operations in the USA and Canada and sales in over 14 countries. 

The global deployment of lithium-ion battery technologies has the potential to power the economy into a cleaner energy future. Clearly a massively exciting space. 

Dr Chris Burns, Group Chief Operating Officer of Novonix, gave us an update on the company and industry and also discussed Novonix’s exciting quest for the ‘Million Mile Battery’, using the company’s proprietary Long Life Synthetic Anode materials. He also updated us as to why the Novonix solution is so desired by consumers. The company has landed agreements with the two largest battery makers – Samsung and Sanyo – who represent 40% of the Global Li-ion battery market as at 2018.

• Redefining the manufacturing processes to deliver lower costs, waste and emissions needed.
