Australian independent video game producer PlaySide Studios is preparing its next title for PC after signing a deal with Click Management and two leading video game influencers.

Under the deal, PlaySide will work with LazarBeam and Fresh, two of the world’s leading video game influencers with more than 25 million YouTube subscribers between them.

LazarBeam, known to his mum as Lannon Eacott, is a regular fixture in YouTube’s Top 20 gaming channel rankings, with subscribers tuning in to enjoy his coverage of popular games including Fortnite, Madden and Minecraft.

His videos routinely reach between 5 and 15 million views.

Fresh is the moniker of Harley Fresh, a former professional Fortnite player who has gone on to become the most popular content creator from the Oceanic region on streaming platform Twitch. Harley was recently named the Twitch Streamer of the Year, and his videos on YouTube receive more than 60 million views per month.

The new deal will see PlaySide Studios develop a new web browser – or PC-based video game, which both LazarBeam and Fresh will then promote through their social platforms during the games life cycle.

This will include updates prior to the game’s release, launch day streams, and regular updates once the game has hit the market.“PlaySide Studios is a company that at its core was created by gamers for gamers. It is a company filled with individuals whose love of video games fuels their work,” PlaySide CEO Gerry Sakkas said.

“This is more than a marketing partnership, it is an opportunity to develop a game alongside LazarBeam and Fresh especially for their audience.

The deal marks the first new agreement for PlaySide’s Partnerships division since the company listed in December 2020.
